Jim received a B.S. in Business Administration (Accounting) from San Jose State University in 1976, graduating with great distinction. He started his tax practice in June 1977 and began specializing in international taxation in 1980. IRS issued the Enrolled Agent certificate to him in 1979 after he passed a rigorous IRS administered two-day examination on federal taxation. He is a member of both the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the California Society of Enrolled Agents.
Jim has many clients who are non-U.S. citizens working in the U.S. He often saves his clients substantial amounts of money by taking advantage of various elections that are available for reducing the U.S. income tax. Through thoughtful and creative tax planning, he can reduce the worldwide tax burden of alien clients who are either emigrating to the U.S. or returning to their homeland. However, all recommendations for reducing taxes are done in strict compliance with international tax laws.
Also among his clients are U.S. citizens and resident aliens working outside the U.S. These clients have special tax preparation needs, since they usually are faced with paying income taxes to both the U.S. and the country of residence. The U.S. tax laws provide a number of benefits they are entitled to.
Always willing and able to help...let Jim help you.
